About Me

I’m from China, born and raised. But open minded, speak English proficiently. Staying hungry and foolish for life.

Have you ever been to China before? (Know that China is one huge country, and values, cultures, dialects, lifestyles, eating habits, economies, vary from area to area, and from people to people). If you were interested in knowing more and better about me, and if you had the time and patience for me, I would likely break whatever stereotypes you might have for China, and its people and cultures.

However, as an individual, living in this huge world, I do not and cannot represent a whole group of people. I simply speak for myself, and I tend to treat everyone individually, and handle everything separately.

People have the freedom to choose to generalise anyone or anything, based upon what they have heard or experienced. Sometimes, or most of the time, what people see and hear is not necessarily true. The truth is always there to be revealed, sometimes it could be personally unbearable or unacceptable, but the truth expels darkness and create a clearer world for all of us.

I consider myself a people person, and I enjoy and value significant, deep and sustainable relationships with other people. I do my best to live the life I wish to live, but I also let nature take its course, especially when there’s something that can never be forced.

I might strike people as an introvert at the first sight, but I could be quite talkative and share whatever I can, once mutual understanding and trust have been established. And a sense of humour is for you to discover with time :)

For me mainly 2 things are worth exploring: the Nature and the human minds. The Nature is broad and deep, tolerant and healing, powerful and dynamic. The human minds are complex and diverse, mysterious and profound. I think we all need to connect with the Nature, as well as understand the human minds, in order to make a reconciliation with ourselves, to build harmony with others and to create a better world.

Life is never easy and I believe that everyone has their struggles and has to suffer in some extent, therefore, be kind and compassionate, be forgiving and grateful. I’ve been on a spiritual and self-discovery path for many years. I have a deep connection with myself, and I keep craving for personal growth and improvement.

The only thing about life that would never change is that: things are always changing. Always staying in a comfort zone does not lead me anywhere.

I had been afraid of travelling alone for a long time, until lots of changes happened in my life over the past 5 years, and everything has been urging me to change myself. So I finally decided to travel again and pursue something new and meaningful. Hopefully I can retrieve the purpose of life and find the ultimate peace and happiness.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Honestly I haven’t been an active Couchsurfing user.

That’s why I haven’t gotten any references from anyone, if that’s one of your concerns about me.

I only had 1 CS experience when I travelled to Australia back in 2019. It was a coincidence that I was introduced to use CS, however I found it helpful and reliable after having my 1st adventure.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, I wasn’t able to log in my original CS account, which was eventually deactivated by myself due to some login issues, and then I created this new account in April 2024, to get back to this community again.

This platform strikes me as a great way to explore the world and different cultures through the eyes of different people, regardless of race, colour, religion, occupation, age, gender and culture. Meanwhile, I think it helps us make friends worldwide, which is quite commendable.
